In this installment, Mike revealed What It Actually Takes To Make Your Videos Go Viral.
1. Follow these rules! All of the foundational tips, tricks, tools and rules have been shared and reviewed over the last posts and you need to make sure that you follow them to a T.
2. Associate yourself with BRANDS, trends, popular topics, people & products. Remember, birds of a feather, flock together and if you want to be a Rock Star you need to be around them. No different here. You are a winner that associates yourself with other winners.
3.Create content FREQUENTLY. Relevant, high value and informative content that is written on a regular basis, two to three times per week is a consistent place to be.
4.Make sure you build relationships with social sites. Social sites are a critical ingredient to having your content go viral.
5.There are NO GIMMICKS. Gimmicks work short term and sooner or later come back and bite you. It is best to steer clear of them and build your business on solid ground.
6.Don’t be afraid to pay for views for a while to get traction. Investing in priming the pump of your traffic is a good strategy to get your viral traffic going.
7.Create a SERIES. Similar to this series of Secrets to Video Marketing, Revealed there is alot of value provided when you create a series that builds on the value of the content being shared.
8.Be OUTRAGEOUS. Nobody wants to be average and ordinary and guess what, neither should your marketing. Be different, stand out and provide outrageous value.
