Live events are critical to the success of any type of marketer regardless of their success or experience level. The fundamental reason is simple. We are in the people business and the relationships that are formed at these events are absolutely priceless. I realize that each event is great. However, this event was really, really great. I would not be overstating the point to say that it was the best I have ever attended and here is why.

As a Online, Internet or Network Marketing professional every event provides you the opportunity to establish relationships and provide value to others. What made this event truly unique was that here was a Seven Figure Earner, Guru, Industry Legend sitting on a stage and working with the attendees one on one for countless hours, with the sole purpose of helping them walk away with a fairly developed Marketing Funnel. I have never seen anyone give at that level and oh by the way, this event was FREE. Yes, our favorite four letter word, FREE.

The event was so amazing and life changing for many of the attendees that attempting to describe the value would not begin to do it justice and therefore I won’t even try. Onsite Search Engine Optimization, SEO, also referred to as Onpage SEO along with Offline or Offpage SEO are vital to a well designed Blog or Webpage that receives massive amounts of FREE traffic. Independent of what Internet Marketing System you are implementing, Pay Per Click, Social Media, Article, Video, etc. Onpage and Offpage SEO needs to be a common denominator strategy that is at the core of your overall system.

Search Engines want content that is relevant to the keywords being searched. I know that sounds elementary and oh so basic. Yet it is amazing how often we write original content and do not implement this very basic and powerful concept.

Tip #1. Create Good and Keyword Relevant Titles. Grab your reader’s attention with a catchy, intriguing, shocking, confusing, thought provoking, controversial title that is relevant and stops them in their tracks. Stay focused here on the keywords that you want to rank for as you structure your content for search engine rankings.

Tip #2. Immediately restate your seed and relevant keywords in the introductory, body and closing sentence. The SEO Keyword density target that you want to achieve with a natural flow is 2%. Do not force your way to that target and do not exceed it. Instead, leverage seo keyword suggestions offered by the Google Wonder Wheel by sprinkling them into your original content. A killer introduction that identifies the reader’s problem and let’s them know that you are going to provide them a solution will keep them glued and wanting more.

Tip #3. Keep your content unique, interesting and always keyword relevant. Be creative in your techniques. Be magnetic; ask interesting and enticing questions that stimulate interaction and grabs your readers attention and keeps them coming back for more. It is OK to spy on your competition to see what is working for them and what is not. Learn from what is and improve on what appears not to be working.

Tip #4. Leave room for discussion and requests comments from your readers as you keep the conversation going. It is essential that you not be a know it all, accept constructive criticism with a smile and never be defensive. Allow your reader the freedom to express their views even if you have to agree to disagree. Always focus the conversation around your seed keyword and be mindful of your seo keyword density to insure consistency in your onpage search engine optimization.

Tip #5. Close with power. A powerful close that culminates with with a call to action. Use the following action words to achieve your purpose. Click, Go, Visit, Claim, Secure, Get, Act, Now and Act Now to name a few. Also remember that your resource box is all about pre-selling and not hard selling. Your objective is to get them to click through to your site and your vehicle is a compelling and enticing call to action.

Twitter Search is one of the many powerful Twitter tools that are available for you to generate leads online at will.  Last night I was on a webinar with Jonathon Budd, who shared some powerful twitter tools and tips that I wanted to share with you to apply to your business.

Search.Twitter.com is great tool to find people that are tweeting about specific keywords in real time.  What you want to do is to follow people who have tweeted in the last few minutes about your lead generating keywords and follow up with a casual and subtle call to action tweet.  Imagine how powerful it is to pick any money key word from any niche and identify within seconds folks that are tweeting about it and either follow or add value by offering insight  and developing a relationship that turn into a lead or prospect.

Lead generation online is made simple thanks to consistent use of the twitter tools such as search and the twitter user search.  For example, another strategy is to look up the industry Gurus by their niche at Twellow.  In addition you want to follow Guru’s lists who are in your market/niche or ones that you aspire to be in.  Twitter is wide open territory and you can find the Gurus, follow their followers  and build your following very quickly.

As you are building your following, let’s quickly review rules of thumb so that you know what to expect.  Approximately 30% of the folks that you decide to follow with wind up following you back.  Give them about 7 days to do so and then delete all of the people that do not follow you back.  Why is that important?  It is important because twitter only allows you a 10% difference margin between those you follow and follow you once you exceed 2000 of either type.

Use Twitter Tools such as Friend or Follow to unfollow people that have opted not to reciprocate.  Try to have more folks following you then you are following and stay within the 10% difference ratio.

Your main objective while on Twitter is to build quick relationships and followers and get them off of twitter and into other social properties such as Facebook.  Some effective strategies to accomplish that include asking alot of open ended questions, asking folks for help with life type stuff liking naming your pet or ideas for buying your significant other a present, etc.  Your main objective is to keep the conversation going and build a strong following.  Stay tuned for more twitter trends, twitter tools and tips in part 2 of Leads Online At Your Command.

Email Marketing is hot these days. If you are going to monetize your list, it is imperative that you implement email marketing best practices. Many tests have validated the fact that some customers may need to be exposed to an offer as many as seven times before they will take action on your triggered email marketing.

Whether you have a blog or website and are planning to do email marketing, take heed to the importance of monetizing your list by providing value on a regular basis via a well crafted drip campaign. Creating a minimum of 7 auto-responder, (The service and system that automatically sends the email messages to your lead or prospect) messages in your campaign and providing relevant and valuable content are among the best email marketing tips that I recommend.

So let’s run through a sample auto-responder campaign that will help you monetize your list.

Day 1-Lead with compelling value that culminates with a strong call to action in the form of a sales pitch for you product or service. Your product will be used interchangeably for an affiliate product or your very own product that you are using email marketing to promote.

For Day 2-Provide your lead or prospect 4-5 benefits of your product or service. A feature is what the product does and a benefit is what it does for your future customer. Internet Marketing best practices state that you always focus on what is in it for your customer.

Day 3-Is about testimonials, testimonials and more testimonials. You want your email to essentially say, “Don’t take my word for it, here are people like you that chose to enjoy the benefits of the product or service.”

On Day 5-Revisit 2 benefits from Day 2 and add a couple new ones. If possible add some that were covered by the testimonials.

For Day 8-Create a sense of urgency with a scarcity pitch. The limited time offer is going to expire. The bonuses offered will expire soon. Be honest and creative here, always communicating the truth.

Day 10-Give them a hefty dose of killer content to build trust and a bond with your lead or prospect. Tie in benefits from the Sales Page and end with a strong call to action.

Finally on Day 12-You give them another dose of high quality content, remind them your products main benefit and recap previous emails. Let them know that this will be their final time to experience the benefits of your product or service and eliminate or solve their problem. Share with them how it worked for your testimonials and it will work for them and close with a strong call to action.

If you have a blog or are looking to build one, Google can hand your online business an SEO optimized blog.  You may be asking, how is that possible or why would they do that?  They are doing that because they like you and want you to succeed in your online business.  Seriously, earlier this week, Keith Baxter, Joey Smith and John Shugart launched a sensational course and live event called The Epic Traffic System. As part of the FREE pre-launch training Keith Baxter revealed a very simple strategy for how Google will hand your business the structure and topics for you to build an SEO optimized blog or website.  Last month I wrote several posts that lay out the basics for this simple yet powerful tool, Wonder Wheel Google’s New Keyword Tool and Keyword Grouping Exemplified.

If you were not able to catch the FREE Pre-Launch training from SEO Legend, Keith Baxter, the answer and tool is the Google Wonder Wheel and I will share below how Google will hand you and your business an SEO optimized blog or website by simply selected a seed keyword.

A seed keyword is your main keyword and you want to type that into the Google Search Bar. Let’s say that our seed keyword is “Weight Loss Tips”. Once Google reveals the results, go to the left hand side bar, under “All Results” and look for the “Wonder Wheel” tool.

Click on the hyperlink and you will something similar too,

Weight Loss Tips-Wonder Wheel. Google considers all of the keywords that surround, “Weight Loss Tips” to be highly relevant and hence we want to use this first level of keywords as the categories for your blog or website.

Next, you want to go to each first level keyword, click on it and generate a second level of relevant keywords. They will look something like this,

Weight Loss Foods Wonder Wheels.

Every well designed SEO website or blog needs content and you want to use every relevant level two keyword as the title of your articles.

Finally, you want to expand each of the level two keywords to level three and use those relevant keywords as synonyms in the body of each of your articles. So there you have it, a kick butt, SEO optimized blog or website that you did not have to pay a consultant a grand for, that you designed in about five minutes thanks to Keith and oh yes, Google’s Wonder Wheel. To learn the latest proven strategies in Social Media, Pay Per Click and Search Engine Optimization visit, Epic Traffic System and learn from millionaire experts, Keith Baxter, Joey Smith and John Shugart launched a sensational course and live event called The Epic Traffic System.

In order for Email Marketing to be successful, you have got to get your lead or prospect to take action. We discussed tips for writing subject lines that get clicked and we will reveal tips for how to get them to take action. Before we get started, let’s briefly discuss the Four Do’s and the Don’ts of Email Marketing.

1. First and foremost, stay away from the appearance of spam meaning that you do not use words in all Caps and exclamation points.

2. Make sure that you keep all of your subject lines under 50 characters. The shorter the better.

3. Under no circumstances mislead your subscribers. If you have to resort to some kind of gimmick or trickery to open your emails, you will ruin your credibility and trust with your subscriber.

4. Do not get them to open your email under false pretenses. Trickery will work once as they will opt out of your list and ruin your credibility forever.

Now lets quickly review the Golden Rule of email marketing, “Never try to sell your product or service in the email, just sell the click..” Allow the Sales Page to sell the product and have the email do its job, which is to “Pre Sell” the product or service and not shove it down their throat. Tell a story that identifies, relates and solves their problems.

So how do we get them to take action? The number one method to get folks to take action is to create a sense of urgency. How you accomplish creating a sense of urgency matters. Many marketers resort to what call excessive hype. Stick to facts that are wrapped with a compelling call to action. Secondly, give them an ethical bribe to get them to act now. A limited time offer or a gift will usually do the trick. Everyone’s favorite four letter word is FREE. Finally, schedule consistent fun or special events that compel your prospect to take action. One time offers, special buys, exclusive offers, First order special bonus, etc.

Your goal and mission is simple, continuously work on building relationships with your lead, prospect and customers where you lead with value and establish credibility of a trusted adviser. Always be aware of achieving a respectable balance of content and sales pitches to remain trusted and credible. The 80/20 rule is a good default standard and if you are a newbie you may want to shoot for a 90/10 split.

Use your blog as your tool and platform of choice for your content and subscriber interaction for growing the relationship and providing value to your list. Rinse and repeat and we will see you at the top.

Email Marketing is a powerful way to generate traffic to your site. A couple of months ago, I wrote Effective Copywriting Salesmanship In Print which I encourage you to view and comment on to review basics and tips. In that article I covered the 10 magical Copywriting words and they are: Free, You & You’re, Announcing, Introducing, New, Secret & Secrets, How To, Guarantee & Guaranteed, Magic & Magical and Easy.

One of the most critical pieces to a successful Email Marketing campaign is the Subject Line. Your sole goal is to create a powerful and compelling Subject Line that is irresistible, driving your reader to click it open. You want your Subject Line to evoke curiosity, controversy and a shock factor and get the reader to the body. Examples include, “Have You Been Black Listed? Check Here …”, “Are You Using This Traffic Tool To Generate Massive Leads?”, “How Physically Fit Are You? Take A Reva

A popular technique is to Personalize the subject line. Some examples include, “How To Avoid The #1 Affiliate Mistake”, “Need Traffic, Video Reveals #1 Proven Method”, “Free 2 Minute Video Reveals How …, Learn How John Finally Stopped Back Pain, Forever-Guaranteed!”

Another Email Marketing technique is the Possessive Personalization. Some examples are as follows: “John’s Secret To Losing Weight Fast, Revealed”, “Rachel’s New Migraine Relief, Exposed”, Susan’s 2 for 1 FREE Cruise Discounts”.

As you are thinking about your Subject Line, remember that there are two fundamental emotions that motivate us humans. The first is our desire to experience pleasure and the more powerful of the two, our desire to avoid pain at all cost. Therefore, make sure that your Subject Line addresses and reminds them of their pain and eludes to you having and sharing the solution. Focus on increasing the pleasure factor and decreasing or all together eliminating the pain with your solution.

None of us wants to miss out on anything, be unprepared, experience delays, setbacks or any other painful result. So when a good Samaritan, the Subject Line in your Email Marketing come along and that in some way warns, empowers or equips us to avoid failure and pain, we are probably going to take a closer look, wouldn’t you agree?

Everybody always wants to know the bad news and so, “The Bad News About Sending Your Child To College …”. If you have or know someone that may be affected, you are asking yourself, “What Bad News Could They Be Talking About?” and that will compel you to open the e-mail. If you are strong enough to fight that initial urge, it will keep gnawing at you until you give in to find out what is the “Bad News”.

Warning Statements work very well, “Spy-ware May Have Infected Your Personal Computer”. Make sure that you have or can point to the solution in your e-mail in the form of a product or service that can be accessed by your lead or prospect.

Ask revealing questions in your Subject Line that can only be answered by reading your e-mail. The question should pique your subscriber’s curiosity to the point were they may have to stop what they were doing to click on your e-mail. “Have You Been Black Listed? Check Here …”, “Is Your Computer Safe? Check Here…”, “How Physically Fit Are You? … Take A Revealing 1 Minute Survey”

Apply these tips and take your Email Marketing to the Top.

To link or not to link. If you are serious about building an online business, that is the question. Building back-links is a critical part of building a successful business, especially if you want to get on the first page of Google or any of the other search engines. Recently a “Glitch” was discovered in the allinanchor: variable when checking your competition for a given keyword phrase.

So let’s expose the “glitch”. Let’s say that you opened up a Google search page and typed in, allinanchor:”learn to make money online” what you are essentially asking Google is, “Show me ONLY the sites that are building back-links for the keyword phrase, “learn to make money online”. Hence, if the results generated reveal alot of sites when you perform the allinanchor search, then that means that you have lots of competitors and may even consider not mounting a fight as you are very unlikely to win it.

You may have noticed that I have surrounded the word glitch with quotations as it is not technically a glitch as Google has an explanation for it. The people that experienced it, call it a glitch. So in our example, when we search for, allinanchor:”learn to make money online”, we get 992,000 link building competitors. That is an enormous number sure to send us looking for another keyword phrase to compete with.

If you scroll through the results to say page 10 or page 20, in other words go deeper into the results, you will find on, “Page 23 of 226 results.” “226 results, are you kidding me?” What happened to 992,000?

In reading the article from the Admin at FreeTrafficSystem.com, there are two conclusions as to why this “glitch” occurs. The first theory is that Google is doing this to confuse the automatic tools and prevent them from getting accurate data when attempting to check the competition. The second theory or fact according to Google is that they have a colossal amount of processing jobs on their servers and officially acknowledge that they are able to show results FASTER by processing just a tiny bit of their information.

When you go deeper and look at page 2, 5, 10 or 20 etc., they will show you numbers that are more accurate and realistic. I tend to go with this explanation and you be the judge. The take away here is that now you know what to do to get the true allinanchor results to get your business to the top.

One of the biggest marketing secrets is that the Golden Rule has gone Platinum. Whether you are a Network, Internet, Offline or whatever you want to call yourself Marketer, you are in the people business. As you know, people will be people and we are all different. One size does not fit all. Ironically, whenever most Marketers interact or approach a lead or prospect, very few understand the importance of identifying the lead or prospects’ personality style and adjusting their approach accordingly.

The reality is that most Marketers in fact default to using the same rules of engagement for every person they attempt to market to. As you can imagine, they will sit there and wonder why they are not succeeding. The answer is simple. We are all very different and as a matter of fact there are 16 different personality styles that are reduced to 4 major styles. The four personality styles are expressed in colors Reds, Greens, Blues and Yellows, Seasons, Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall and Elements, Fire, Ice, Wind and Water and many other ways.

Regardless of the metaphor used, the take away point here is that in order to successfully connect, communicate and build rapport with a lead or prospect you must engage and interact with them as they want to be interacted with. You see the Golden Rule, “Do Onto Others As You Would Like Others To Do Onto You”, has been replaced with Tony Alessandra’s Platinum Rule. The Platinum Rule says, “Do onto others, as they would have you do onto them.”

A couple of months ago, I wrote a communication-skill-that-will-explode-your-business that goes deeper into the different personality styles and how to build instant rapport, connection and relationships that will lead to sponsoring and closing of team members and sales.

I also wrote a FREE E-Book that really goes into much more detail and tells exactly what to say in order to achieve outstanding results. You can get your FREE E-Book by entering your name and e-mail address in the form below.

The important thing to remember is that whether you are trying to get people to give you money out of their pocket or convince them to be part of your team or cause, you will only be as successful as your ability to communicate with them they way that they want to be communicated to. See you at the top.
